People possess four things
that are no good at sea
anchor, rudder, oars
and the fear of going down.

The fear of death is the underlying cause of all the ills in the world.

It causes people to hoard things, to be territorial, greedy, selfish and cruel.

Attached to the illusion of the physical body and all its wants and needs.

Blind to the life of the spirit eternal which goes on and on and on

Never-ending sustenent LIFE

coarsing through our veins but we rather distract ourselves with the burden of petty desires

temporary satisfactions, gold and diamonds and sex sex sex.

The heavy burdens of the human condition

to cling for dear life to every waking moment

never stopping to consider for a moment

that there is no such thing

as death.

So if you ever find yourself lost at sea without a life-jacket

(cuz they dont come in Versace and we dont wanna be seen in anything less)

In those moments before the current drags you under

and you realise that all those things you bought with money

to fill the gaping hole inside while you obsessed over territorial and material gain and temporary physical satisfactions

You will see how those oars and rudders and anchors were never going to save you.
