It's lost its magic for me since I had to start participating in the annual present search around wrecked malls lol And with 8 cousins all under 16, it takes a while!

Then to just see them rip through everything, toss aside your present for the latest electronic gadget/bratz doll...well...let's just say I can't really remember the last time I truly enjoyed Christmas. Maybe if we took the "present" aspect out of it, it'd be nicer?

On a good note, my tree is awesome. It's small and it has little electric bulbs at the end of each...stalk...thingy...lol and they change colour when you turn it on. Looks amazing, doesn't need decorations, takes 2 seconds to set up biggrin

you got to do kriskringle instead, so you all buy just ONE thing

once we started that last year, suddenly the kids were more interested in christmas because each of them had to buy for 1 person and they seem much more appreciate and in the spirit of things now nod

I am only fan of the bog old tree. I got lots of tree ornaments, esp since I inherited my mom's antique ones as well; I still ad to the collection, but only antiques.

My tree is a fun-filled one, heaped with ornaments and coloured lights. Very thickly packed. I can't wait to get my tree!

I LOVE the idea of passing on decorations nod
I have some on my tree that my mum made when she was a kid!
and I made some too that my kids will inherit

every year we (as kids) had to make ornaments for our parents, and they would give us one. So now mom's tree is full of kid's ornaments, and ours from each year our parents gave us an ornament. we still get one for our son and each other, and now buy mom one big grin

my son made a xmas angel in kinder, and ever since it is the last thing to go on the tree. his dad picks him up to place it on to himself....but the way he is growing, he'll be able to reach it himself b4 much longer shake
