Making someone the center of your life.

I have heard many times people say they don't want anyone that makes them the center of their life. And yeah, that definitely sounds reasonable. In fact, quite healthy. Yet, I have met those individuals that though they never actually say they want someone who makes them the center of their life, in fact they want most people, especially those that are suppose to be the closest in their life to make them the center, or the first thought. I haven't met many like this but it always perplexes me when I do. They always seem to be self-proclaimed sensitive people. Not all sensitive types, I've noticed the difference but definitely a certain prototype.

WOW! Is that what I said? That was an interesting twist.

Personally, I'm a pretty low key person, no facebook action here.

Putting people on a pedastal is the worst thing you can do in a relationship...because no one....I don't care who they are...no one can live up to that kind of pressure....one of the curses I've had to endure is to be that person who gets put up there by damned near everyone I've ever been with...but I have proven more often than not that I am so far from that ideal that its amazing I'm still alive...

the center of any life is about 6 inches from your chin.....
He was like a cock who thought the sun had risen to hear him crow.

Yeah putting people on a pedestal can be very unhealthy, it wouldn't be for me and I don't blame others for not wanting that. But there are those that feel that the purpose of other people's life is to fulfill their wants and needs. Like an overgrown baby. Usually, from what I've seen such situations turn out badly in the end. Nobody wants to lug around a big, ugly, demanding baby forever, no matter how cute they thought they were in the beginning, cute gets ugly fast.

your life should never revolve solely around one person

Everyone wants to be the star in someone else's movie... It's sad really. Just enjoy your own life and stop worrying about everyone else. :^P
