Ricky Hatton back to his normal routine

By kicking ass back in the USA
woot!

falloff

Ricky Hatton coasted to a one-sided win over Paulie Malignaggi at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, with his opponent's corner stopping the fight in round 11.

Malignaggi had occasional success with his jab but fought virtually one-handed for much of the fight and lacked power.

Manchester's Hatton had Malignaggi in trouble with some savage left hooks, and overhand rights.

Going into the 11th, Malignaggi was behind on all three scorecards, causing his corner to throw in the towel.

comfort Awww they threw in the towel.....didn't even let their boy hold his head up.

Talk of Oscar being heard....i really wanna see that one woot!

Good work Ricky

Manny is a monster, BUuuuuuT, Oscar, old or not, is larger. It's going to be hard for Manny to overcome the size difference. Hard fight to pick. shrug

Ricky didn't look impressive, he beat the overhyped scrub from Brooklyn. Shame too, I like Hatton. sigh

I agree. Although, i used to like Hatton, idon't anymore. His working class lad routine is becoming tired, he needs to drop that now. I think getting beaten by Mayweather changed him in regard to his fighting ability and i doubt we will ever see his former self again.

Does anybody know if he and Billy Graham are still talking? In his book, Hatton said he would never leave his trainer under any circumstance. Things change, but i never heard if it was an amicable split.

his trademark "yea!"'s with every punch were absent too. I've been wondering what the split was over.....

You like boxing?

I am a huge fan of James Kirkland! I am so happy he did well at this fight on the same ticket as Hatton's.

He has gotten into trouble, but he is back on the right track. I really like Ann Wolf, too! She is fierce.

I was going to start a thread, but I was not sure if anybody would be interested.

Here is a something, "James Kirkland, the Non-Hatton Reason to Watch...":

The both of them had on ridiculous getups, truthfully. You're boxers! Throw on some damn trunks and go box!

Hatton had some Liberace/cowgirl/Union Jack mashup mess on, and Malignaggi looked like Wilma fucking Flintstone.

FLOYD Sr WOULD STICK WITH ME - HATTON

http://www.sportinglife.c...35318.html

Ricky Hatton is reportedly confident Floyd Mayweather Sr would train him for a megafight against Oscar De La Hoya.

Floyd Sr has trained De La Hoya for many of his biggest fights in the past, and was in his corner when the 'Golden Boy' beat Steve Forbes earlier this year.

But with Oscar set to take on Manny Pacquiao in what promises to be the richest fight of the year, he surprised some people by choosing to train Hatton instead.

That decision paid handsome dividends for the 'Hitman', who produced one of the best displays in his career to stop Malignaggi in the 11th.

Now Ricky is in the frame to take on De La Hoya himself, possibly at Wembley next summer.

The tabloids believe that will lead to a tug-of-war over Floyd Sr's services, but Ricky remains confident he'll win that battle.

He told The Sun: "Floyd chose me over Oscar and he will choose me again. I'd like to think so because we have enjoyed being with each other.

"But he is going to have to make the decision if the fight comes off because I'm sure Oscar will want him as well."

Floyd Sr meanwhile believes De La Hoya might not be the best fight out there for Ricky, but says it's one the Hitman could win.

He said: "I don't know if it's the right fight for Ricky and I think Manny Pacquiao would be better. But it would be a winnable fight for Ricky if I trained him.

"Ricky is a better fighter than Oscar, but there is the issue of who is the bigger man in the ring."

Why is Oscar fighting him?

I think Oscar is passed his prime.

Of course... lol lol

I am sure they will both be paid well for just showing up.

But to me, how much money does Oscar need? I just do not look at him as a contender anymore? I thought he was in promotion now.
