i mean i do get past it once the person admits their mistake, but since it'll always be there and the trust is shaken, then i'm not sure if i've actually forgiven them.

...but if I do, and the incident in question keeps getting revisited like it happened yesterday, I pull up stakes, throw up the deuces ( sign), and never the twains shall meet again...

..especially if the incident in question falls in the ancient history category....

It depends what the person did and bad the offense is. Some things are forgivable and some things are not.
