I saw it this weekend and loved it. It really made me think. I was thinking about that movie all night after seeing it. It teaches a valuable lesson about life and death, about what's important, how it's never too late to start over and do what you want to do. The special effects were well done. I'd like to know how they made Brad a 7-year-old old man in that wheelchair. Without giving it away, the end was sad, part of the circumstances were sad. I wish they had taken out one element of the ending. It was almost 3 hours long, but didn't feel that long. I liked seeing his journey. It was only a little Forrest Gump-ish. I might see it again. Under certain circumstances, urgent circumstances, desperate circumstances, profanity provides a relief denied even to prayer.

I don't want to go anywhere near Seven Pounds or Valkyrie. Especially Valkyrie. Cruise doesn't even try to do a German accent. Ridiculous. Trust me, avoid Valkyrie. That tries so hard to be intense and dramatic it's damn near waiting on a Shatner cameo. I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

The movie seems kind of strange. I might see it on DVD. I may have to get drunk first though. I am drunk right now, and I have NO interest in seeing this movie. Who the hell thinks we want to see depressing movies, especially during the holidays? Idiots.

Cool idea with the reverse type on the Brad Pitt poster. It's very good - I saw it with my family last weekend.

I'd rather see this than Jennifer Aniston's crap "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

You couldn't pay me to watch a special about her I don't see the big fuss about her Now Brad is that dude. I enjoy his acting and he has a cool personality "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

I rather enjoyed it , but not as much as I thought I would. Visually stunning,so I'm predicting that it'll probably get the oscar for cinematography. I kept thinking how much it reminded me of Forrest Gump since it basically used the same plot devices, turns out the same person who wrote Forrest Gump, wrote the screenplay to this as well. Despite it being a long ass movie, I felt that towards the end it was rushed a bit ( his last few years). Overall, a decent movie. [Edited 1/5/09 20:35pm]

They spent way too much time in the current day hospital room, could have cut 45 minutes out... Good flick, great job morphing Pitt's head onto that little frail body. Kinda shitty that everyone's elderly makeup looked fantastic EXCEPT Taraji's - wtf happened there? They just stuffed some cotton in her cheeks, yucked up her teeth & sent her on set They should have done an adequate makeup job on her as she aged...
