HAPPY HOLIDAYS Y'ALL!

For the first time in about 15yrs. I am in the seasons mood.

The holidays have never been the same in my family since the death of my 30 yr. old Uncle Randy. My grandma and mom never recouped. Something in them died too. The holiday season became a time of mourning our lost family (much death in my family).

Since then my husband and I bought our first home and I have decided to buy my mom something VERY special to bring back the spirit. We are buying her a horse! She loves them more than life itself, but has been seriously depressed and sick. She has felt that she could never afford to buy one again. And my anger at her depression has made me feel like "why should I buy you a horse? You need to get well first"... What a poor judgement on my part.

So we are going to open a cd account with $500.00 to start and every holiday we are going to add to it so that she can buy herself a new baby!


To me, the holidays are about family and friends. Stopping the mad pace of life and really feeling the love in the world. I try to carry this feeling all year and spread it around.

The holidays are whatever you make of them. So to all of you who have made me laugh, made me cry, made me see, made me know, made me wise, made me think, and made me wonder what the %$#@&?
