It has never really done anything for me....maybe its the Beyonce "lemme, lemme upgrade ya....Sasha Fierce" effect...she truly annoys me....

I think it was real shitty that they threw her to the foreground being that her character was lame and lifeless sad

Lord of The Rings 1-3
Kill Bill
Casablanca
Clockwork Orange
The Pianist
Goodfellas
Pirates of the Carribean

that's a few that didn't do much for me, I might give some of them another try in the future though

Take Pirates off that list and those are all good movies.

sure they are. if they are "critically acclaimed", they better be! they somehow couldn't reach me as they should have

Clockwork Orange is the densest one of the group and watching it more than once is recommended but a lot of people never get there.

that one actually is in the group of flicks I intend to give another try

The Pianist is good but pales next to Schindler's List.

indeed...

Lord of the Rings is the greatest movie trilogy ever made. The standard for any fantasy or science fiction.

I enjoyed reading the books as a youngster, and maybe that's why the movies left me quite unsatisfied, I even fell asleep at some point. also there's way to much CGI for my taste, and those images didn't match the pictures I had in my mind all those years

Kill Bill (1 & 2) - Tarantino's best work.

for me it simply could not live up to the expectations. but since I'm not at all into Italo western or Kung Fu flicks, a movie paying tribute to those is not off to a good start for me. and nothing will ever touch Jackie Brown. oh, even at her age Pam Grier is about a billion times hotter than Thurman. though I admit that should not be an artistic aspect for judging a movie...

Has anyone tried unplugging the United States and plugging it back in?

ok- just watched "tropic Thunder " last night ...

with Ben Stiller , Robert Downey Jr and Jack Black ....

i couldnt get thru it !!! i thought it sucked ... I really thought it was one of those "drafts" that Stiller just laid down in 2 days of drunkedness ... very odd ... lots of "fart" jokes and "retard " jokes ... which i am certainly open to ... but ...

the unique touch was Robert Downey Jr and some of his lines were worthy of smiles ... and Tom Cruise surprised me ... but didnt make me laugh out loud once .... confused eek sad confused
Colonel Angus may be smelly. colonel angus may be a little rough . but deep down ... Colonel angus is very sweet.
