The English Patient I think the worst is 8 Mile. I saw it for the first time a couple of nights ago and it's truly dreadful. How comes nobody told me it's a trailer park version of Purple Rain? Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

Eminem was the only good thing about that movie. He was at least watchable as an actor. Too bad he's completely off the radar these days.

Mostly positive is not all positive and 78% is 22% short of complete acceptance, so I'll say we're both right. No, you're wrong. 78% positive means critically acclaimed. . Eminem was pathetic...even his imitation of Prince's death-stare was lame. I was shocked by how much of a Purple Rain ripoff it was. Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

[Edited 11/30/08 18:45pm] now hold up....if we're gonna talk about Natalie Portman and a pedophile, nothing compares (at least to me) to "The Professional"...now THAT was a movie on the pedophile tip, for reals....especially when she did her "rendition" of Marilyn Monroe singing "Happy Birthday, Mr. President".... I don't think it was the intent in Closer as it was in the Professional There was definitely an undercurrent there but it was smartly done and underscored his need to love and take care of somebody. Plus he was a lil slow. He died for her. That's my movie and her acting, as an actual 12 year old in her first movie, was much better and believable IMO than what she did in Closer as a grown woman.
