are there any movie endings you would change? Speaking in terms of movies you like, that is. Not movies you thought sucked anyway.
Mine would be Hook. I love it, and I've been watching it since I was little. But the ending always bothered me. I realize that adult Peter has an obligation to return to the real world with his children and his life there. But what about the Lost Boys? I always felt that they're just as much his kids as Jack and Maggie are, and he just leaves them. Again. That part of the ending always felt so wrong to me, and so the ending comes across IMO as bittersweet instead of the happy ending I'm sure it was meant to be. How about you? Yeah, that was kind of a cunt move on the old lady's part. She didn't need to give him the necklace, but that dude put a lot of time, energy, and money into searching for it, and she just drops it in the ocean? "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

I get that he was focusing too much on the material side of the whole thing and she made him realise the devastating loss etc etc but STILL! Just a quick peek would've been nice.

I think she should've given the necklace to her granddaughter as thanks for taking care of her all that time. I'm sure if the woman didn't want it, she could've used the money a rock that big would bring. But no. Old Lady Rose chucks it in the ocean. I half wonder if she wasn't senile and just made up the whole Jack story. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

Would it really improve the movie to change it though? I think a happy ending would have lessened the impact of BBM. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

The movie Closer wasn't bad, but that was probably one of the worst endings I can think of I mean WTF?! What a waste of Natalie Portman
Oh, and even though I loved Dark Knight, I wasn't the keenest on that ending either. Batman should not have had to take the blame there, and what happened to the Joker? If you will, so will I

It did upset me though - the "what could have been" factor stayed with me for days. I agree, it was a strong ending, but you gave me carte blanche to change an ending and this is one I would have changed (for my own peace of mind - I do want to live in a fluffy pillow world).

Oh, and even though I loved Dark Knight, I wasn't the keenest on that ending either. Batman should not have had to take the blame there, and what happened to the Joker? Sadly, we were supposed to find out in the next movie. What's going to happen now is anybody's guess. I suppose it could be assumed that the Joker would be taken to Arkham, because that's where all of Gotham's mentally unbalanced criminals are sent, but it's not really made clear. Was it a SWAT team who pulled him up off that hanging rope, or regular police? I can't remember which, but perhaps that would make a difference in what happened to him. Bulworth. It was a comedic film about serious issues, and I didn't think making it tragic was the right move. It was kind of a cheap shot at Oscar. My Legacy
