I went to public, had friends who went to private Catholic school, and I found that they were worse then I was.

My daughter is so unsure about the schools she is thinking of homeschooling Seyhan.

I went to private (Catholic) school up to 8th grade and then went to a public high school....I MUCH prefered the public school!

BUT! I should say, the high school I went to was kind of special since its not a zone school (its public, but not everyone gets in)
and evidently, its the only all-female public school left in America lol
If you will, so will I

Me: 8 years of Catholic grammar school (K-8); Public school for my high school years...

Kids: various public, magnet, and now a charter school...luckily, I've been in places that placed great emphasis on education (thanks, Army!!), so my kids have gotten good schooling everywhere I've been stationed...

not sure, the primary school had 2 nuns in it - the head mistress and Sister Kathleen who taught maths.
I think the high school had some connection with marist brothers or something, but I never saw one lol

I spent K-12 in a suburban public school district. There was low-level socioeconomic tension between the haves and have-nots, and slight cultural growing pains amid mostly Jewish older families and very diverse newer families moving into the neighborhood. Overall, though, I think the heterogeneity of my childhood environment and the witness to cultural interactions that made it work were perhaps the most illuminating things in my entire life.
