I buy TONS of DVDs... I also trade them at Hastings. They will trade a new DVD worth up to $34.99 for 3 used DVDs. I take movies I buy that suck really bad up there and trade for better movies... I have traded about 30 or so movies up there.

The best thing is that you can find movies that are really cheap at a used joint and trade them for better movies and often times make out very well.

I like to order box sets from Canada and take advantage of the exchange rate... it saves a ton of money. I have a bunch of stuff on order from Amazon.ca right now... I can barely wait... it includes the "Cosmos" box set!

Hastings is great. I always sell CD's there to buy Christmas presents. The store here is going out of business sad I don't know where I'm going to get my quick cash from now. Perhaps I'll look into selling my plasma... biggrin

You are right... there is a giant Penguin altar in my bedroom with burning candles and fresh kipper. smile

The Bruce Lee collection can be had for:

http://www.amazon.ca/exec...41-7284062

$55.19 Canadian

Which converts to:

$34.97 American

While it costs $44.99 at DVD Planet.

That sucks!

They will sometimes give you $10 for a used DVD... which is a lot more than other used DVD joints will give you. I haven't sold any CDs to them, but I can imagine that they pay good money there too.

I am sorry to hear that they are going away there.

The do. Indie stores will look at about 100 CD's you bring in and say "I'll give you $5 for the whole thing."

Hastings always paid $2 to $5 for every single CD.

I don't know if I have seen it or not... I checked IMDB and there were a bunch of entries for "Testament," so I am not sure.

Who was in it and when was it made?

I was so friggin' dissapointed with the Aliens series after the second movie Aliens.

What were they thinking? If they would have just stuck to the original storyline the comic book had taken, it would have still had it's cult folowing and would have been a huge success!

But no... they had to kill Ripley? Bring her back? Cloning?

What the heck was that about? Who ever turned over the writing to these bozos should have been spanked in public!

Sorry Ice, every time I see that collection, a lot of built up frustration comes out.

Oh, yeah... they sucked after the first two... I got the set for $40, so I figured it was worth it.

lol... true. I just don't like watching movies over and over again, so I only buy the ones that I really like, and then I guess I really don't even do that.

Now, I have a VERY impressive paper collection and I used to have an impressive purse collection! smile
