LOL!! One of my ex coworkers used to pull that same stunt almost everyday and yes he was an older person also.

One time he farted in are break room during dinner and tried to blame it on the chair he was sitting in, saying that the leg of the chair was making that noise not his asshole, he was a sick dude, LOL!!
