Inside the library of IceNine - (for broadband users) Here are some very bad pictures of my library... this will give you an idea of some of the books that I enjoy reading... that is, if you can read the titles.
These pictures represent most of the books that I currently have, but I have read and sold a great number of other books... SUPERJOINT RITUAL - http://www.superjointritual.com

Every room in this house has at least one bookcase, and bookends full.
My room has a bookcase that goes up the the ceiling, a bookend thing, and then a night table with two shelves full, plus my little stashes around the room where I've run out of room in my shelves. However, I can't claim that I have read most o fthem. Only a small percentage. But I'll get 'em. -------
A census taker once tried to test me. I ate his liver with some fava beans and a nice chianti... "I've just had an apostrophe!" "I think you mean an epiphany..."

Cool idea Ice!
I'd do the same except I don't have enough shelf-space - most of my books are in boxes or under beds or stuffed anywhere they'll fit Shit, between videos, cassettes, records, CDs, video games, software, books, magazines there's hardly any space left for us! I'll check out your library tomorrow when I have more time and see if I can get some recommendations, I'm always looking for some good suggestions of new reading material... EDIT - the sad thing is, my only two large bookshelves are entirely overflowing with my day-to-day work related texts etc (computer science books). Somehow I doubt you guys really need to see a photo of hundreds of 4-inch thick manuals about artificial intelligence, computer graphics, cryptography, networking... Why the fuck do I need over 40 books just on Java?! [This message was edited Sun Nov 24 15:43:01 PST 2002 by ian]

I only took pictures of the ones in my main library area... there are hundreds in storage... but I don't feel like getting them out, as I don't have shelf space for them anyway! I might have to take some detail pictures so that the titles are legible. SUPERJOINT RITUAL - http://www.superjointritual.com

A lot of SK - I have the ones you are missing. What about other modern fiction? Where's your Hemingway, Steinbeck, and Faulkner? At the very least, where are the Dune books?
Once in awhile, I'll have to refer you to your copy of "Anger." If we really get into it, I'll give you a specific reference in your DSM-IV. Those are fun photos. It's an impressive book collection for such a youngster. "When they tell me 2 walk a straight line, I put on crooked shoes"

How many of us remove the dust jackets while reading our hardcover books to keep them in pristine condition? Lav, I KNOW you're in this category! It's a habit I can't break. "When they tell me 2 walk a straight line, I put on crooked shoes"

I HATE bent bindings... if you will notice, most of the paperbacks have pristine bindings too... I can't stand bent backs!!! SUPERJOINT RITUAL - http://www.superjointritual.com

suspiciously eyeing those pics.
Hmmm, your library looks like Mr. Gatsby's. Too neatly packed to have been devoured by a hungry mind... are you sure you didn't take those pics at a Barnes and Nobles J/K. Hmmm...I have mixed feelings about this collection. But I can't really complain because I have some real crap on my shelves...for example I'd pick on Ice for have Freud on there, but I have Kant on my shelf and Kant is an asshole...we're all exposed to a lot stuff and it isn't necessarily a reflection on us!
Interesting post, Ice! Fear is the mind-killer.
