I'll take our rainy weather any day compared to that permafrost. Us northern Europeans are WAY further north than the midwest US

We've had one inch of snow here in the last 3 years. The summers are crap but at least we don't freeze to death the winter before.

You know...for as much as i complain about the cold..i NEED 4 seasons. I would not want to live anywhere else.

this time of year i go around and around on the topic of livability and minneapolis

most of the time i like being in a region that has four distinct seasons. i love that we have plenty of fresh water and good soil. but winters do last a bit too long, imo.

CA sounds pretty good. except for that whole being on fire bit, that is.
