If she was just a girlfriend? No. If she was about to be my wife? Yes. But, I'm pretty good about dating only women who like dogs, so I'm safe there.

I'm definitely not the biggest cat fan, but I've dated cat owners.

If, as in Erin & Chris' case, some allergies were involved, it would be difficult but I'd still put my family member first.

no, i would not.

and if i was about to marry someone and they wanted me to give up my animals i still wouldn't. i would find it strange that someone who is ready to spend the rest of their life with me would all of a sudden want me to get rid of my animal.

I couldn't marry someone who couldn't live with cats.

No. If they hate cats or have an allergy, they're not the one for me. I'd take it as a sign from the dating gods.

ok .. how is she going to be a wife, if you don't agree? to me, it's like I have to give up something that is apart of me to be with someone and why should I? when there are other people who will walk in agreement with me about my pet....

i figure that if we've been in a relationship long enough to be considering marriage then you'd already be comfortable with my pets because they are such a part of my life. i would find it very odd and somewhat controlling if at the last minute my fiance all of a sudden was like "get rid of your pets".

Depends on the situation really. I also take into consideration IF they are in fact allergic to one of the other OR even both. I have a allergic reaction to certain pet products like shampoo's and break out in hives, isnt fun at all.So that is a factor.

Now if it was between my kid or dog, cat, or any family pet.... YEP you darn right I would nod

I mean if she'd put a real effort into trying to grow cool with my dog but her allergies proved insurmountable, I would choose her over a pet. I think there are more complex situations than just someone not being a dog or cat lover.

My dad used to have a pet goat as a child. One night it was nowhere to be seen. They (unusually) had meat for dinner. Some time later he was presented with a nice goatskin rug for next to his bed. cry

Do you still hear the screaming of the goats lambs?

Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

I did.

My mother in law is severely allergic to cats, and we are basically the only family she has (Chris is an only child). When we moved here, we made the difficult decision to ask a friend to keep our kitty.
