The man is the greatest sportsman EVER! What a pro.

Haven't followed basketball too much lately though, not since the Hawks got rid of Mookie Blaylock, Steve Smith, Mutombo etc.

Dominique Wilkins, what's he up to now? He was my hero when I was a kid, The Human Highlight film.

How is MJ doing?

I have to admit - about the time MJ left the Bulls...I left basketball. biggrin

I'd love to see him play in a team with other superstars, but that isn't what he chose to do - instead he followed his heart - which I respect. biggrin

I was one of the lucky ones who watched his games from way back when he was on the Olympic team...what a great player.

I've lost touch with what's up with Mike. If you know what he's up to, and it wouldn't be much trouble - I'd be interested in reading about it.biggrin

The NBA needs Michael Jordon I think. Isn't it going downhill financially? Or was without him?

Is it still Stern in charge?

Is Jordan still playing? My brother loved Jordan and would constantly play videos of Jordan, The Bulls and the NBA. It was either videos of Prince or the NBA in our house!

Yep, both MJ's had a terrible week.
Jackson almost killed a newborn by hanging him
out of a window..
and Jordan's mistress opened up to the court
about their affair. He sued her for extortion,
and she spilled the beans.

Not good to be an MJ lately...biggrin
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

But actually he's not a co-owner of the team anymore. Once you become a player again you have to divest your financial interest in the team, tho he will be co-owner again when he finally hangs up the sneakers for good.

He made those decisions when he was in position to make them. As a player he's not since he has to defer to others in the front office.

the NBA is taking it's cue from baseball making a Stronger Pitch overseas.the NBA doesn't really need Jordan anymore.going by His Play&the Success of the Wizard it's just another team.but the Image of Him helps with Selling out certain palces.but folks just pay too see Him but they aren't expecting much&going by what I have seen not much is gonna happen with Him there IMHO.

I'm going to see Michael Jordan and the Wizards on December 4th here in Detroit. I hope he plays - last year he didn't play in the game I went to. evil (He didn't even show up).

He had the ultimate retiring moment: a 3-pointer, in the last seconds of the last game of the series, that won the game.

He shouldn't have come back to the NBA as a player. He is part owner of the Wizards, but he should've stayed on the sidelines.

Actually it was a 2 pointer. And it came on the most blatant push off of a defender for a non-call that I've ever seen to win a game.

Don't Faint We are in Actual Agreement about Something WOW!!!not too mention that Howard Esley's 3-Pointer Beat the Buzzer in the 2nd Quarter&got called off.and How in the World did Jordan get away with knocking the ball out of Karl Malone's Hands in UTAH without a Foul being Called??No Foul on Jordan in Utah??very suspect.

We agree about many things. Though, not lately. biggrin

I don't remember those specific plays, but superstars get most of the calls - except for Kobe Bryant, it seems. It's been that way in the NBA as far as I can remember. And late in games I've noticed that refs don't like to make big calls that would be the last play of the game, or potentially change the outcome - witness game 5 of the WCF last year after that ball went out of bounds and was given back to the team that sent it out of bounds.
