Would it really improve the movie to change it though? I think a happy ending would have lessened the impact of BBM.

I wanted a happy ending dammit!

It did upset me though - the "what could have been" factor stayed with me for days. I agree, it was a strong ending, but you gave me carte blanche to change an ending and this is one I would have changed (for my own peace of mind - I do want to live in a fluffy pillow world).

Fair enough.

A lot of people would probably argue Hook is fine ending the way it does, but I don't like it. Even with a new leader, that one set of kids is basically abandoned for another is very sad.

The movie Closer wasn't bad, but that was probably one of the worst endings I can think of confused I mean WTF?! What a waste of Natalie Portman

Oh, and even though I loved Dark Knight, I wasn't the keenest on that ending either. Batman should not have had to take the blame there, and what happened to the Joker?

Sadly, we were supposed to find out in the next movie. What's going to happen now is anybody's guess.

I suppose it could be assumed that the Joker would be taken to Arkham, because that's where all of Gotham's mentally unbalanced criminals are sent, but it's not really made clear. Was it a SWAT team who pulled him up off that hanging rope, or regular police? I can't remember which, but perhaps that would make a difference in what happened to him. shrug

Okay, I haven't seen it since it came out and I keep thinking that his last scene was him hanging from that building, and that was it...
I was hoping you'd remember, cause I just recall feeling really unsatisfied with the end
If you will, so will I

The Prestige was a really good movie, I thought, but the notion that they would create & use the most amazing technological innovation in history just for a magic trick was a bit silly.

nod That was the last scene.

The next movie was supposed to continue from there, but who knows what Nolan et al. will do with it now?

And the other one with Ed Norton. It wasn't actual magic, but his "machines" were basically impossible, particularly for that era.

Part of me wants him to re-cast the Joker -preferably with a talented unknown -and the other part wants Mistah J just conveniently written out of the story altogether, because I'm afraid no one could really come close to Ledger's jaw-dropping portrayal. His version wasn't entirely accurate to the comic version, but it was probably the closest we'll ever see. His was really only missing one thing, but I doubt it would have made a difference to the story in TDK either way, so shrug

Breakfast At Tiffany's - It should have ended more like the book.

The Secretary - The ending should have been more consistent with the couple's BDSM relationship and not so Hollywood happily ever after.

My Summer Of Love - It would have been cool if the one girl actually killed her friend after finding out their entire relationship was a sham instead of holding back at the last minute.

I still like those movies though.

Sweeney Todd.
In my version, Sweeney would hear that crazy lady ask "don't I know you?" and then he would realize it was his dear wife Lucy.Together they'd kill judge Turpin. Then he'd nurse Lucy back to health and they'd live happily ever after. He'd walk Joanna down the aisle at her wedding to Anthony. And then Sweeney Todd would reclaim his name (Benjamin Barker) and he and his wife would buy a place by the sea with Mrs Lovett as their maid and Toby as their butler.

The End.

at the end of 'graffiti bridge', after [SPOILER ALERT!!!] ingrid chavez bites the dust, i would have her body disappear in a streak of hot pink neon, and then i would have a bunch of neon sparks fall from the sky and then there's a big clap of thunder and morris and prince turn around in shock and awe and OH MY GOD ingrid chavez has turned into olivia newton john from xanadu and instead of her six muse sisters, it's APOLLONIA 6, and they do a medley mash up of songs from xanadu and vanity/apples 6 greatest hits. during this whole time, prince is doing one long, epic continuous pirouette and morris is sobbing uncontrollable tears of joy. when the medley is finished, we then cut to robin power in outer space, where she destroys the death star with her snoopy. THE END.

Okay, uh, how about Sweeney would enter into a plural marriage with Mrs Lovett and Lucy and he'd do Lucy on Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays and then do Mrs Lovett on Tuesdays Thursdays and Fridays and then they'd do threesomes on Saturdays?

The Dark knight spoiler allert!

Save Two-face for the next movie, his transformation over to the "dark side" was great, but the movie should have ended after the capture of The Joker.

Requiem for a Dream
It would have been nice to have at least one tiny little redemptive scene in it. It was brilliant but a movie has never left me so drained, hopeless and void

i think that's why the movie was so powerful to me. it was consequence without a seatbelt. sometimes you need to see something like that, to kick your ass and to snap your brain back into the straight and narrow, so to speak. it would have been nice to see something redemptive, but the heartbreak of not getting that wish granted is what makes that movie so...wow.

It was indeed powerful ~ it gave that feeling of falling off the ledge without a saftey net ~ I just wanted that quarter inch of concrete to grip my fingernails on.
