I tunes Question.............................

I've never bought any music from ITunes before. I had an old school mp3 player from when they first came out.

My question is: Can you burn songs downloaded from Itunes onto a CD? I didn't know if you were only able to use them as mp3 files on your Ipod only.

If so, Is it easy to do? Do you basically burn as a CD instead of downloading onto your IPOD?

Download files, place into a playlist, right click playlist and click "burn to cd" and there you go.

The files are AAC files and when you right click those you can say "create MP3" if you want an MP3 file but the AAC files play on an ipod

Yeah you can burn songs on itunes to cd, but if you buy an album on Itunes I think you can only burn it 6 times or something.

I think you can mix & match individual songs & burn different mixes as much as you want

If I remember right, I couldn't convert the ones bought from itunes to MP3. they were protected somehow.

I've not ran into that.

It's easy enough, burn the CD and then import the songs from the CD as MP3s. I've done this a couple of times.

right, I've done that, but I think it wouldn't let me directly convert them without burning a disc first--but only the ones bought from itunes

Unless you burn a cd and then import that as MP3. I think that would be a work around.
