Co-Carnation Lameness! +1 for the Carnations are Lame group. Never gotten roses...honestly I find them very cliche. Actually until very recently, I rarely received flowers. However, within the last month I have gotten orchids, gerber daisys, and tulips from someone.

I haven't received any flowers, but I'm not a 'gift' person. I have however sent various flowers. Roses are great! But for me ,carnations are the best "Bedroom" flowers. They last longer, have more charm, and compliment a bedroom better. But let's face it---Roses are very symbolic. The first flowers I would send would be roses. I didn't know anything about the 'single red rose' thing since u r engaged to carrie .....to be married ... u shud send her a single red rose as a symbol of love...ur token of special love to her...lm sure tht will be romantic for u both....just a suggestion for u unlike u say yes a single rose is suppose to be a symbol of love for any special person...2 show ur love or how much u like the person .... not everyone gets tht some r lucky some r not.... l think its so romantic ...

Standard Operating Procedure when I was single and scheming....
....since I've been married, I usually bring my wife either a single rose or a bouquet of her fave flowers (lillies) whenever the thought hits me.... He was like a cock who thought the sun had risen to hear him crow.

A single rose? No. I got a dozen, though. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.
