What if you stepped in dog shit, or something else equally nasty?

Our family never wear's shoes in the house, house rule. But, our guests are allowed.

You must have awfully clean floors.

i hate wearing shoes so i take them off as much as possible

I live in Hawaii and no one wears shoes in the house.

I wear slippers at all times in my house. I don't like my feet to get dirty. I don't care if guests keep their shoes on when they visit. IMO it's so country to walk up to someone's front door and they have dozens of pairs of shoes outside the door.

Shoes off @ the door, same for guests unless it's a super quick visit. I would pass out if someone entered my bathroom w/ their nasty shoes on So there's no chance that'll happen if I have the mf's take them shits off @ the door. I have a chair in the entrance way just for that, it's lovely really

People don't wear shoes inside the house here in Finland. Or at least, no one I know or have ever met does

I kick them off for comfort when I walk in the door usually, but I'll wear them all over if I'm getting ready to go out and I'm trying on different pairs. I'm no nazi about it, if I'm carrying in stuff I'll bring it all the way in to wherever I'm going and such and not worry about it.

In the winter you MUST take them off or you track snow and wet in all over.

No one is allowed to wear their shoes in my house. I have an expensive light coloured living room rug!

I hate that shit. One set of my aunts and uncles are shoe-on people, even in winter. It's horrifying being at their place in January. Wall-to-wall carpets are just SOAKED with melted snow and they don't seem to care.
