iTunes Question

When I import a CD into iTunes, it accesses gracenote and self applies the album title, songs, and artist. It also gets the album artwork.

However, if a CD has additional artists, like John Legend featuring...iTunes doesn't seem to be smart enough to realize those tracks are from the same album. It cannot get the artwork and if you choose to play that album from the artist listing, it will only play the tracks the are specifically John Legend, not JL featuring...

It's almost comical. I will be playing an album and during playback half the songs display artwork and half don't.

Am I missing something or is the program just dumb?
Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

If you put "John Legend" in the Album Artist field, it should work fine.

That's what I thought, it just seems like a pain to have to go in and change what has already been self applied. I don't think Apple runs Gracenote, but I wish they would use something that doesn't confuse it's own program. I can't imaging an iPod filled with Hip Hop artists. They drop extra artists on songs like, well, like they know it will sell more records I suppose.

Thanks!

You're welcome. I'm anal about my music, so I never rely on the info put in by Gracenote users. I review all tags and use a couple of Doug's applescripts (especially the capitalization one) to fix any mistakes.

ZombieKitten

Sometimes those Grace Note tracks/cover art come out totally wrong mad and you can't stop it applying it to what it insists is some crap album from the 90s, when it's songs you made yourself and some codes happen to be the same just by coincidence sad
