Boy, 4, shoots baby sitter for stepping on his foot  .. what is this world coming to?

Witnesses told police the child was angry because Beavers accidentally stepped on his foot. Beavers was watching the child at a mobile home in Jackson with several other teenagers and several other children. Jackson County Sheriff John Shashteen says authorities are investigating. The child has not been charged. | |

Don't you have to pull a shotgun a certain way? I don't think most adults would know how to shoot a shotgun. I think the parents showed him how or the child at least probably saw them shooting it. My neighbor (the Republicans that placed a homophobic "Say yes to Amendment 2-one man/one woman" sign in their yard) a couple of years ago had a situation where their 3 year old shot himself in the leg, while his mother was napping.

If they are going to let just anyone own a gun,I think it should be mandatory that when you purchase a gun,you also have to purchase a gun safe. That way when shit like this happens,they will know that there should have been no way that kid could have even gotten the gun in the first place. my four year old has quite the temper when he doesn't get his own way. For a moment his head is filled with rage and he forgets he loves us. Imagine if he had access to a gun (and he'd be smart enough to use it too, had he seen one of us do it) every time he felt mad at us because we make him go to bed at 8pm, or won't let him watch any more TV.
