I would love to make this. ok...i'm gonna try this again.. banana cake preheat oven to 350 degrees grease and flour 2 8x1 1/2 or 9x 1 1/2 pans.. 2 cups all-purpose flour 1-1/2 cups sugar 1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder 3/4 teaspoon baking soda 1 cup mashed ripe banana 1/2 cup buttermilk 1/2 cup shortening 2 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla combine flour,sugar,baking powder,baking soda,& 1/2 teaspoon salt.add banana, buttermilk, shortenin, eggs,& vanilla.beat with electric mixer on loww speed till combined,then on medium speed for 3 minutes.. pour batter into pans and bake in 350 degree oven for 30-35 minutes, or till toothpick comes out clean.Cool on racks for 10 minutes,remove from pans and finish cooling. the frosting.. 2 cups powdered sugar 1 stick softened butter or margarine(do not melt the butter/margarine) 1 teaspoon vanilla milk mix powdered sugar,vanilla,and butter/margarine add milk a tablespoon at a time until you get the frosting the way you want it to be, if it's too thick,add milk, too thin add powdered sugar.you may also need more of the butter/margarine the above measurements are the minimum i've used.. questions?? orgnote...
