please...do go on... Banana cake...that sounds yummy. Is it much different then banana bread? only a little...think about whatever your favorite cake is..and imagine it banana like the flavor of banana bread..i make it from 'scratch' and after its cooled down i make the frosting,also from scratch...it is a butter frosting, so if you've ever put butter on banana bread..comes out the same taste, but sweeter...i can get into so much trouble making this if someone finds out it was made and they didn't get any... it's like...

I would love to make this. ok...i'm gonna try this again.. banana cake preheat oven to 350 degrees grease and flour 2 8x1 1/2 or 9x 1 1/2 pans.. 2 cups all-purpose flour 1-1/2 cups sugar 1-1/2 teaspoons baking powder 3/4 teaspoon baking soda 1 cup mashed ripe banana 1/2 cup buttermilk 1/2 cup shortening 2 eggs 1 teaspoon vanilla combine flour,sugar,baking powder,baking soda,& 1/2 teaspoon salt.add banana, buttermilk, shortenin, eggs,& vanilla.beat with electric mixer on loww speed till combined,then on medium speed for 3 minutes.. pour batter into pans and bake in 350 degree oven for 30-35 minutes, or till toothpick comes out clean.Cool on racks for 10 minutes,remove from pans and finish cooling. the frosting.. 2 cups powdered sugar 1 stick softened butter or margarine(do not melt the butter/margarine) 1 teaspoon vanilla milk mix powdered sugar,vanilla,and butter/margarine add milk a tablespoon at a time until you get the frosting the way you want it to be, if it's too thick,add milk, too thin add powdered sugar.you may also need more of the butter/margarine the above measurements are the minimum i've used.. questions?? orgnote...
