Darth Vader owns R2D2 for a good part of his life.
He also BUILT C3PO when he was like 8 years old.

AAAAANNNNNDDDDD, he buried his mother at Uncle Owen's crib.

How the fuck:
1) did he not EVER once go back there , and stumble upon his children?
2) not remember the droids in Episode 4?

Because when Lucas wrote and made episode 4 which was not called episode 4 in the original prints, (he thought he would only get one shot), Vader was NOT Luke's father, he really killed his father. When the movie was successful, Lucas decided to go with his original idea of a lot of family relationships (which I personally hated) and had to cover up his changes with the horribly contrived "point of view speech" by Kenobi in the HORRIBLE film Return of the Jedi filled with muppets singing and phoned in performances by all the actors, especially Harrison Ford.

Sorry, this is disturbing my ass this morning.

I do not visit every thread that Dan creates...hence the reason I still have some damn sense.
Someone named Phil interrupted me from my cleaning to tell me to go check this one out, he said it was, (in his words) genius!

You are right Dan, that Phil guy is a dumb ass.

If I have twins Dan, they are coming to live with YOU!

wait a second.
Who said I was talking about you two?

The Phil and Val in my story are strictly fictitious! There are vast differences between them and you two lovely folks!

For example, the fictional Phil and Val in my story communicate to each other through hand gestures, body language, and eye contact, as well as verbal communication, one with an American accent (to indicate the good guys), and one with an Australian accent to indicate the bad guys. They would have never thought to communicate to each other in seperate rooms on laptops in the same house! no no no no no no!

I'm resisting the urge to channel Sarah Palin in answering this question.

Let's just pretend that I might have said what you are accusing me of saying. Well, I think I've been mildly successful! I've gotten Hinn to bark at me a few times, and people are actually responding to me after gritting their teeth.

Doesn't it just seem a bit thrown together like ufoclub said (by the way ufoclub, I agree with you and not just cause I'd like to dip you in a vat of honey and..well, anyway).

Once you look past all the eye candy and appreciation for the technical wizardry of the movies, the story line has really strange problems!

I mean what did you think when you watched the movies, in between episodes of Will and Grace? razz

Damn it my explanation didn't come through,

It's because when episode IV came out (it was not called episode IV, it was just Star Wars) it was intended as the only actual movie that would be made. Lucas didn't know it would be so successful, and even though he wanted Star Wars to seem like part of a bigger story, he thought it would just be iimaginary embellishment to the single movie's fictional "history".

So... Vader was not Luke's father, he killed Luke's father. Later when Lucas realized he could easily get support to keep making the movies, he went back to his original idea of having tons of family relationships (which I personally hate, it's so cheesy and takes me out of the experience to make everyone connected). He covered his tracks with the idiotic, weak "from a certain point of view" speech by the silly ghost Kenobi in the HORRIBLE film Return of the Jedi filled with muppets, singing teddy bears, and lazy performances by all the principals, especially Harrison Ford. Actually Hamill did the best he could with that lame script.

I am a violently passionate nerd fan of Star Wars. I recognize Empire, but I can't really get into any of the others outside of the duel in Phantom.

We may be nerd.
But I don't think we're reading too much.

Today's T.V. shows have multiple characters with multiple plots (ex: LOST, HEROES), and we just expect things to tie together nicely.
We've learned to pay attention.

And I think the Star Wars movies were about the bells and whistles rather than the story--I know Lucas and fans of the movies will argue otherwise, but they were.

According to "The Rise of Darth Vader", Vader avoided Tattooine, for fear of reawakening Anakin and bringing back all those painful memories.

If you get a chance, check out that novel - it's very good.

I am going to read that book immediately!
or as soon as I buy it.

Well im a Star wars fan, but im not pleased with the way Lucas handled the storyline with episode 1-3, i really liked episode 2, but i still have to enjoy it as a stand alone movie than part of the saga cause it makes no sense fitting together with the older movies (or newer? its confusing with prequels), episode 3 is full with continuity-errors, i found a site that pointed out all these errors, i dont remember the URL at the moment, so i cant send a link.
Sorry for my bad ingrish today, im a bit tired. cool

OK.... Think of it this way Aksel.

Let's say you have two people: Phil and Val, hypothetically speaking.

Phil meets some guy...we'll name him..oh I don't know... Ariel.
Ariel is a nice enough guy on the surface, but on the inside he's hell bent on the destruction of all Alpha Males on the Internet.

Ariel is filled with Canadian rage from years of living in Cold weather and having nothing to do but chop wood and dog sledding , or whatever the hell they do up there. His rage rubs off and has an effect on this guy name Phil, who was never really that smart in the first place.

So one day Phil just snaps. He kills all his neighbors! So his poor wife, Val, who is pregnant with twins must hide from Phil.

She gives birth to the twins after Phil has a very unfortunate accident with a botox treatment that leaves his face permanently disfigured. After giving birth, she immediately packs her bags and moves to Thailand, but leaves the twins with Phil's parents.

Phil finally meets his son 20 years later, and his son finally turns Phil away from his life of crime by allowing Phil to reach down into his 'inner child' and forgive his cosmetic surgeon , who accepts the apology and offers him free breast reduction surgery in compensation.

HOWEVER, why didn't Phil, that big breasted dumbfuck ever think of visiting his parents? Asking them if they knew where the twins were? It makes no sense!

R2 and 3PO units are all over the place in the old republic so its possible that Anakin wouldn't recognize one or 2 droids. Also in the original trilogy Darth doesn't come into contact with artoo-detoo or see-threepio.

The Tantoinee thing I have no idea, besides making padme look still pregnant when they buried her, I have no idea why if the twins were so powerful with the force that emperor didn't get the force email.

I also never understood why Tat played so much importance in the 2nd trilogy when its such a backwater world in the outer rim.
