my boss micromanages and controls every little thing in our office. he has a Napoleon complex and everything has to be done his way or you'll find yourself reassigned somewhere else and no longer working within his group. he's very political and deeply rooted in corporate politics and that's how he runs his department.

unfortunately for them, one other girl and i are encouraging her to work at another store, because we borrowed a manager from a neighboring store and even he agreed that she was an awesome worker. she just seems to be their scapegoat for some reason.

anyway, i put that idea in her head to transfer out.

i think she'll do better there. and i believe that she deserves a job and to be treated well.

Ive been my own boss for 24 years... I see that changing (theoretically) in the near future. I have always gotten along with authority immensely so I don't anticipate a problem.

My boss is great.

On Tuesday, we had a rare November day with 70 degree temperatures and sunshine. One of my co-workers said to me, "I'm gonna duck outta here for a couple hours and play nine. Come with me!"

I was trying to figure out how to broach the subject with my boss, when all of a sudden, I notice my co-worker (who doesn't report to my boss) at her desk. My boss looks over and me and whispers, "You are so going golfing. I told you to get outside yesterday and you didn't - so you're going today."

So we played nine in the middle of the day, then came back to work. It was fabulous. And this kind of stuff happens all the time.

That would be me. So, yeah. Well, sometimes I get on my own nerves.

However, this year I'm taking 3 weeks off for Christmas (I've worked REAL hard this year). So that would make me a pretty good boss.
