Now I'm not given to violence but... ... today I wanted to drag this bloke out of his car and beat his ass into the ground!
I took my baby daughter into town today for a bit of air and a wander round (so she can see some of the lights - she likes that ) and I pulled onto the parent and baby parking section but some little prick in his corsa screeched into the last space and gets out with his 2 equally young and equally agile mates It makes my blood boil when people are so fuckin inconsiderate. I had to park way up the other end of the car park. I rummaged through my bag to see if I had a brick to throw at him or something sharp to let his tyres down, unfortunately I was all out, but I did have a a baby card - so I wrote it out: 'Congratulations on the birth of your baby! However, you appear to have left it at home. This parking space is intended for parents and their babies. Be more considerate next time.' and stuck it to his windscreen, which was quite polite of me... considering I'm aware that, being the total twat that he is he probably just scrunched it up and chucked it on the ground, but it made me feel marginally better. I'm thinking of getting some printed up for the next time I see another lazy ass prick using the M&B parking, making us schlepp our kids across cold, rainy, dangerous carparks. Please don't tell me that any of you guys do this... I'm not stopping. I haven't even taken my coat off

I'm absolutely sick of these people who park like... well... assholes! Thing is, the parking spaces are MUCH smaller in the UK than they are in the US so we all need to make sure that we're parked well, so we can all fit in I'm not stopping. No. I don't worry about the wrong things, its just that I choose not to write about my money worries, family problems, our failing heating system in the winter, paying bills, the fact that my baby daughter has heart problems and that's before worrying about the fucked up economy in the Uk that is putting serious pressure on my business... If I wrote about all the things that worried me I'd never be off the org - I just chose to write about one of my 'lesser' more lighthearted issues Its an amazing skill I have - worry about lots of things but don't burden everyone with them. Is it nice being able to sit there and judge people that you don't know anything about? [Edited 11/7/08 4:33am] I'm not stopping. I haven't even taken my coat off

Ex-Moderator | We don't have those spaces here. If we did, I would mind them, but I think it's kind of odd.
One night I was grocery shopping and had a cart full of stuff. There were long lines at every check out and everyone was quite annoyed. A man got in line behind me with his daughter. He asked me if he could go in front of me since he was in a hurry and had fewer items in his cart. I told him no and smiled. He laughed and said it couldn't hurt to try. He then tried to guilt me by saying, come on, I've got my daughter here, I'm a family man, blah blah blah. I said, "Well, that's your choice," and turned back around. wtf? |

Our local grocery store has 8 " Parents with children " parking spaces
I guess all the other spaces are for parents without children

Oh, to have the cares of an 18-year-old again! Unfortunately that lack of concern leads you to sniping at a friend of mine with a lot more to worry about than your pettiness. Kindly try thinking before you speak; you might want to revisit this topic when you're buying Pampers and not wearing them.

excuse me but why should you get a special parking space if you have a kid ?

How about this guy? His name is Ted and he used to bowl with us. He has 9 kids by 8 different women. He is also a thief and stole about $1,000 from me and my team.
Of course, he then went into hiding from us. I found out last night that he is going to jail for 10 years. Why? Because he beat up three kids. And by "kids", I mean 2 years, 2 years and 18 months old. I couldn't bowl last week on account of my daughter's school band concert. And wouldn't you know it? Ted showed up last week. I guess it's a good thing I wasn't there because I would have beat his ass with everything I have. It's bad enough being a thief, but beating up babies? Fuck that. My sister-in-law is a prosecutor with the Harris County District Attorney's office. I'm going to find out if she prosecuted him, or can tell me who did. I want to see the transcript, and I want to know where Ted is serving his sentence. Then, if I get the chance to do some prison ministering at Ted's place of incarceration, I will make sure the fellows know what Ted did. That kind of stuff doesn't play well with them.

But there are express lanes and self-checkout lanes and it's not like he only had 3 things in a basket. We were all in line and all in a hurry. Too bad you got there after me. lol. |

something like that would make my blood boil as well Mrsgoodnight.
also, people here (ireland) have a habit of parking illegally on footpaths. it used to drive me crazy when out walking pushing my kids in the pram, it was like an obstacle course. we would regularly have to walk out on the road as there would be no room for us to pass the car on the path. the parents parking spots in my local supermarket are wider to accomodate strapping kids in etc in answer to why parents with children might need 'special' spaces.
