That's the sad thing. I hate to shop. neutral

I wish I was in the UK where they close shops too early for any human being to possibly catch on back from work. And barring the possibility of starving to death, this is a good thing. And the customer service is so horrible in the stores, that you'd rather just stay at home and brew some tea with your biscuits than go out shopping. And your biscuits are probably stale cause they don't put an preservatives in their food, so you need to go out shopping anyways, but don't because the stores with horrible customer service are all closed. So you sit at home starving, and wondering why the only place open is the Indian takeaway place.

In short, I think I need to stop shopping. neutral

I was never a big shopper, I guess that is a good thing considering your post and how it summed up shopping here. lol

Oh and you would not want to be out in this weather today shopping, it is windy and raining. Your biscuits would be soggy by the time you got them home.

I work at the mall and if you knew what I knew about retail and all they do to get your money, you'd think about it before you gave it away so freely.

In the average month I only shop at Rainbow Foods Uptown (my local grocery store) and Target. That’s about it.

About once a month I rotate a different grocery store in, Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods, Super Target (of course, that’s still Target lol ) for something fun.

Every few months or so a book store is thrown in. And Electric Fetus (my fave local music store).

I clothing and shoe shop (other than Target) probably 3-4 times a year.

I’m simply not much of a consumer.

Oh god, I forgot to factor in the weather, the price of goods, and your taxes.

The UK is brilliant at stifling consumer overspending. mushy

ah - I see you've included restaurants.

I get food from GiGi's (super yummy coffee shop/Cafe on my corner) as takeout about once a week.

And probably I probably eat out once a week with friends, and that totally varies on where we go.

Realistically, I have almost nothing to show for the money I've made in my life. I have furniture from Target and Ikea. And not even that much of it. lol My tv is even super cheap. I rent an apartment. I don't even own a car now. All my money goes to experiences. Concerts, good food, travel, etc. I've got a happy life, sure, but I definitely have nothing to show for it. lol

I think there's something to be said for a happy medium.

I feel trapped by my house
I hate having and needing a car.
I want a moped.
I wish I lived in a place that took its public transportation seriously

I would rather spend all my money on epxeriences than a penny more on products... Well except for the new macbook...redface Oh, and the new iPod Nano redface...and of course, a nice GPS system. But that's it.

ouse to house edit

Until you try and stumble into Carrie's apartment building early in the morning before you've had your caffeine, and you find yourself struggling to get into an identical looking building beside for like 10 minutes.
