We don't have extremes here as far as longest and shortest day. In the summer it gets dark around 7:30pm and in the 'winter' around 6pm. shrug

I do prefer the slightly longer evenings in summer though. Better for barbecues. smile

Sounds lovely. Here, winter evenings end at 4:30 as to summers near nine PM! sigh

Girl...you better embrace it and keep it moving hmph!

Where I live, in the dead of winter we have a couple months where there is only daylight from 8am-4pm cool . As a Scorpio I tend to have Vampire tendencies and enjoy looooong dark nights. But try these little nuggets to help you adjust to having a few extra hours of night time coziness in the house so it will feel more fulfilled.

1. Read a book that has ZERO to do with work or study...something fun & trashy.

2. 3 new scented candles to surround yourself with in your favorite room

3. A New coffee pot or press, with a new coffee you haven't tried before

4. New Bath salts or shower scents

5. An interesting incense that makes the house smell and feel luxuriant

6. An exotic menu project for which you can invite friends over for an EARLY
dinner

7. Get a cool magazine subscription for winding down and/or getting life inspiration in quiet moments

8. DVD set of an old vintage show you LOVE

9. Read daily pages from Sarah Ban Breathnach's "Simple Abundance"

10. Lie still and listen to the miracle of your own heartbeat

Hope that helps....
