There's always a variety of reasons why PEOPLE do this (its definitely not just an "immature guy" thing..)...primarily, they actually think that you'd still be so hung-up on them that if they seem to be moving on, you'll be upset....

....on the other hand, they're trying to make it seem like they're moving on and not as hung-up on YOU as they are...you know, the empty declaration that "I'm OK, I'm strong...I don't need you....yada, yada, yada..."

Bottom line, you just need to cut him off....block his emails....texts.....IMs...calls....whatever type of communication he attempts....for however long that it takes....eventually, all stalkers go away...
