Neighborhood slut wants my husband On Saturday, I had a little get together at my house with a few friends, well two real friends and one neighborhood woman I sometimes talk to. Let's call her "Crazy-Ass Bitch."
So we are sitting around for a few hours, talking, laughing, eating and drinking while my husband is outside fooling around with his hunting crap, starting a bonfire, messing with his dog...you know, guy stuff. Now I've known C.A.B. since she was about 8 or 9 years old and my husband's known her and her whole family forever and is friends with her older brother. When she left, she told my husband to call her and that she needed to talk to him about something. He figured it was nothing important, maybe about her son getting my son in trouble lately. So he calls her and she basically asked him if he would like to "hook up" with her!!!!! He said that he hung up on her, and then came in and told me about it. I freaked out!!! Called her, she wouldn't answer the phone. I went down to her house, she wouldn't come outside. I ended up getting her by calling her kid's phone. She denied everything. I was calm at that point, and instead of laying into her, I just told her that her and her kids are not allowed at my house ever again, and whatever friendship she thought we had, is over and told her never to speak to me again. My husband tells me to forget it, she is a shit-starting whore. But I have to pass her house every day! How can I just leave this alone? She is a known wannabe husband stealer and I was so stupid to let her into my house. People warned me about her, but I would always say, "oh, my husband is not thinking about her ugly ass." It didn't dawn on me that she was thinking of my husband. She has got some nerve sitting up in my house, eating my food, drinking my alcohol and laughing up in my face, knowing the whole time she was just there to oggle my husband! This is why I have few female friends!!!!!

If you trust your husband, this shouldn't be a problem. It seems like you do, so I wouldn't worry about it. She's a sad sad sap. [Edited 10/29/08 8:27am] What he said. Sounds like you've got things under control. In the meantime, perhaps have your husband unpack exactly what she said on the phone. It'd be harsh if this were a simple misunderstanding. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

It'd be harsh if this were a simple misunderstanding. Oh, believe me, it's not a misunderstanding. Of course I had him tell me the whole conversation word for word. She lied completely when I talked to her and said that she didn't even talk to him! If she did nothing wrong, why not answer her phone or come outside and talk to me? She looked through her window and never came outside. I could go on and on giving examples of her insanity, which I'm not going to do. This is not some trailer-trash drama, though I know it sounds like it. I handled it quite calmly. Plus, it makes me look really naieve and stupid for letting someone with such a reputation into my house. Lesson learned.

almost seems like a non-issue. YOur husband hung up on her...I think she figured out her place when that happened. You reinforced it by approaching her about it. Scenario's over, thanks to U and your husband's ability to communicate.

I hate to go and on. Actually that's why I'm posting this because my husband doesn't want to hear it anymore.
But I feel like, "how dare that bitch!!!!!" She's known me for years. She knew of the cancer battle I've went through. She's a shitty mother who doesn't take care of her kids. I've fed them, given them rides, had talks with them, fixed their hair, given them clothes, let them spend the night endlessly. I've let her use my computer for things. I mean, the list of things I've done for her goes on and on. She doesn't have any friends in our tiny neighborhood, and I'm the only one who talks to her (at least used to). I don't generally cuss too much, but she has got some fucking nerve!!!!!

Your husband probably doesn't want to hear anymore cause he has no interest in her nor in cheating on you. So you're in good care there. As far as her, you're obviously pissed off at some honor code she violated with you. But ignore her. Seriously, it's a sad life when a woman got so little self-esteem in herself that shes willing to do that. Just ignore her.

You have to assume people will want our mates because they're so fucking hot, right?
So what matters is what our mates want, which is us, right? But I might be a little colder to this CAB if she did that to me. My Legacy

But don't at all feel naive about being kind to her and her kids -- and don't convince yourself you shouldn't have done the same thing again had you known what she'd end up doing. You behaved as a decent person should have behaved. Let the problem be hers. Again, you've handled things well here, but (and this may be way premature), I'm inclined to encourage eventual forgiveness - no forgetting, but forgiveness. Sounds like she's got chronic problems; perhaps having the example of a decent woman and her decent mate around -- even if at a safe distance -- would do her some good. What CAB did is waaay out of line but you should be extraordinarily thankful that your husband is so true to you. I can't begin to fathom why CAB would do what she did but it sounds like she's having a particularly hard time in life. If you've known her for so long perhaps, in time, you might delve a little deeper and ask her why she would feel compelled to do such a thing... A working class Hero is something to be ~ Lennon

how pathetic is that? almost makes you feel sorry for her. I've fed them, given them rides, had talks with them, fixed their hair, given them clothes, let them spend the night endlessly.
makes you feel sorry for the kids that she's so useless. I've let her use my computer for things. I mean, the list of things I've done for her goes on and on.
because you are a good person and you felt sorry for her She doesn't have any friends in our tiny neighborhood, and I'm the only one who talks to her (at least used to).
pretty sad when she shits on the one person who's been nice to her now for the positive stuff He said that he hung up on her, and then came in and told me about it.
he could have not said anything but instead he communicated... even better he wants to forget about the "shit starting whore" like you said... lesson learned about her. how fucked up does one have to be to proposition your only friends husband? she's sad and pathetic and not worth your energy. after everything you've been through i'm applauding hubby for how he handled it! i'm thoroughly impressed and hope you can see the victory in all of this instead versus the attack.

Thanks guys. That's what I needed to hear. My husband is not one for many words, and basically told me today that he's sick of hearing anymore about it. I guess, I needed someone to understand how wrong she was, and that I did the right thing by being mature and not beating her ass or cussing her out in front of her kids.
Sometimes airing things out on here is like talking to a trusted girlfriend. We all need someone to agree with us and encourage us, right? I have two trusted friends like that, and they both work during the day, so I couldn't bother them too much.

go grab a martini (or whaterever U like) and relax. Good advice and I agree. You shouldn't carry this on, particularly as you say she has children. She knows your husband told you about it and I'm sure she feels humiliated. Leave it and be thankful that you and your husband have a relationship where he feels he can talk to you about these things.
