I believe he's a werewolf or something, and maybe he talks to the dog, but he couldn't be the actual dog. also it is strange that the dog sat with Bill outside of Sookie's window after her grandmother was taken to the morgue... the dog is connected to her.. maybe it is her dead mother or father..? I hadn't thought about that ....maybe? maybe Sam is some kinda watcher that is supposed to be protecting her? If you will, so will I

Efan said: I wish the murder mystery aspect of the show were played up more. There are lots of people dying, but there's not much of an air of mystery about the show, which is really too bad. And Sookie's grandmother is barely even cold and Sookie and her brother have both gotten over it really quickly. Things like that lessen the quality of the show.
But yeah, the graveyard scene was hot. The bar owner is pretty sexy too. No my friend, take a closer look and recognize that Sookie hasn't gotten over her grandmother's death just yet. Her way of dealing with the pain is getting real cranky with people and has releasing all her hidden inhibitions.

Um... In the roughly 12 hours since I discovered streams of the shows online, I've watched all 8 episodes. I'm pathetic... but the show is pretty good!
I have to say, though, certain scenes are tough to watch: Seeing Tara's mom in her drunken bouts was sooo tough. The woman who plays her mom is a really good actress. Also, the kidnapping scene in this last episode was really tough. The homebody vamp guy was totally defenseless. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

Yeah, at first I didn't quite know what to make of that scene. In retrospect -- and because I've seen those three characters turn up again equally hokey in a later episode -- I realize they were supposed to come off with a certain schtick. They're kinda like Stretch, Stinky and Fatso to Bill Compton's Casper... [Edited 10/31/08 22:19pm] Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

I think those two performances hit me because I know those people in my personal life... right down to their exact physical appearance, gestures and life circumstances (demon possession and fangs notwithstanding ). Really good acting and directing there, though I do agree with Aksel that it can be a bit more thin and cheesy elsewhere. [Edited 10/31/08 22:20pm] Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

[Edited 11/2/08 19:44pm] Well see I didn't mention the Wire because I never got into that show. By the time people were raving about it, it was like in the middle of the seasons and I don't like to start watching stuff all in the middle. I'll try to watch The Wire someday from Season One until the end. But I was really hot with HBO when they cancelled "Rome" after only 2 seasons!!!! I couldn't believe that shit, but they said it was too expensive to produce so they cancelled it. That was my fuckin show. And that guy who played Marc Anthony.....sizzled the blood in my spine he was so fine!!!! I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Yeah Rome was really a soap opera for real. Of all the episodes, I hate the last few because it was like they rushed the storyline because they knew it was the last season. I sure wish they could have had it on for at least two more seasons. I was really into it. I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Six Feet Under was good, but I quickly lost focus.....too slow, maybe too depressing and the gay-thing just didn't do it for me. True Blood is fun, but it is not really impressive. Notice in a previous episode (maybe ep 2 or 3, I think), Sam greets the dog with, "Hey, brother!" It was very quick... but it wasn't a throwaway line. Ὅσον ζῇς φαίνου

I think that since Jason befriended the old vamp , he will have feelings for him and will want to set him free while that psycho Amy will want to keep him to do V everyday. I think that she will almost want to kill the old vamp and Jason will try to stop her. I also think that he will let him free and he will feed off of Amy at almost his death and escape, leaving Jason there. Um... let me warm up my vocals
