Stephanie Mills sings a song from the "Wiz" titled Home. It reminds of your situation.
There is not place like "home." As I click my ruby slippers. ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^

I loved that song. "That...magic, the start of something revolutionary-the Minneapolis Sound, we should cherish it and not punish prince for not being able to replicate it."-Dreamshaman32

I loved that song. I saw the The Wiz in New York, and when she sang that song I had chills running down my arms..That was when she first started out. ^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^*^

Yes, I have.
I moved to Minneapolis 10 years ago. I look back and realize that it isn't the place you live in, but the people you interact with. As much as my family drives me nuts, they also love me - and have regardless of the decisions I have made within my life. Regardless of the distance I placed between them (Hawaii) and me (Minnesota). I think you just grew up. Much like I have, and now you see things differently.

I lived in the country when I was growing up and after I graduated from High School I moved to the city to pursue some goals. I never thought that I would miss my country surroundings after I moved but I miss it terribly. I never thought that i'll miss hearing roosters crow in the morning, hauling hay, feeding chickens, helping out the farmers, and just simply hearing my old friends country accents. _______________________________________________________________________________________ You can hate me for who I am, cuz I won't be something that i'm not.

Home is where the "hurt' is...Walk On
I just want that hometown applause-The Rose I've lived in different cities but have ended up in my hometown. As I come home up and over through a canyon I get a view of the entire city--its breathtaking at night. I always think of the changes..the growth, the dirt, the beauty, the failure, success of it ,almost every time. Love it, hate it, leave it..theres no place like fucking home. "Climb in my fur."
