MAC HELP! All of My Letters and Numbers have Switched, Can Zou Help a Crippled Chick Out Over Here? Okay, yall...normally I would just pass by the Mac shop in my neighborhood, but Im bedridden at the moment with one functioning hand. i can barely make it from my bed to the bathroom. Additionally, the folks on the phone dont have an English speaker availavle at the shop today, so Im SOOOO screwed. Im trying to get paperwork done from my bed, and now my letters are switched, and some of my basic symbols i cant even find, such as my apostrophe . I have to take off work this week because Saturday night I fell down a case of concrete stairs. Nothing broken, but mama IS BANGED UP with a sprained foot, banged up shoulder, limited arm movement and a lot of purple spots...but the show must go on . I have soooo much stuff to pound out in the next 48 hours... Anybody out there who can help me fix my baby

dang, that sounds painful, drunk again huh..
well apart from the fact that you ass should be resting and getting better it sounds like your keyboard/language settings need to be reset to UK English, it may have set itself back to the default US English settings.. but then i am probably wrong are you ready for submission

first
is there a country flag in the bar where your clock is ? If so, you can click that and select the language you prefer. If not, go to finder - Go - Applications and select System Preferences, then select International. In the first 'tab' Languages, check the order of the languages, if it isn't right. drag them in the right order (only the top few matter, don't mess with languages you don't use). Also check the settings under Input Menu. Good Luck ! [Edited 10/27/08 3:34am] | |

HAHAHA! sorry, not at your injuries (my condolences to that! ) but to your German keyboard and the z = y switch... that brings back memories of me trying to type letters from Germany and having some schwierigkeiten of my own...
