They're for research purposes. They were a family heirloom and I can't bring myself to throw them out. They're for medicinal reasons. Ok, I perv over them.

Me either. And for the vast majority of my life, I didn't want to get married. Getting married and having kids was never a goal of mine. I changed my mind about 3 years ago. It's now something I want very much. But I really don't think it will ever happen. |

I was never the bridal magazine type of girl.
I did however buy two when I was engaged and had a little look through them. I'm glad I did because I found a picture of a dress I loved. I found a store here that stocked it and it was the first and only wedding dress I tried on. They only had one and it was my size and I knew it was the right one for me, there was no need to try any others. Before I got engaged I never even thought about looking at a bridal magazine, it was never an obsession for me as a little girl however I am sure they are useful if you're looking for ideas. Below is my dress! --ยปYou're my favourite moment, you're my Saturday...

I've never had a secret stash of bridal mags. I would look or buy them as a guide for ideas. Ohh purple joy oh purple bliss oh purple rapture! REAL MUSIC by REAL MUSICIANS - Prince "I kind of wish there was a reason for Prince to make the site crash more" ~~ Ben |

I had a friend so totally into the whole bridal thing, she knew every bridal store in the city, every detail. But I found it so funny that she herself, got married in a all black lace wedding dress. I loved her, she was so nuts.
Me personally, could care less especially at this point but I guess there was a time the whole phenomena intrigued me a little.

Same here, and I don't intend to. Unless I want to cure insomnia.

I use to get them when I was a teenager just to look at,and then I thought it was cool that I could send for free samples of invitations. Why I thought I needed them,I don't really know. I've never even touched one of those magazines.

I had to when I saw this thread. Yes i'm a culprit, I have a secret stash. I have it because...well because I dream of getting married to the right guy someday. And when that day comes, i won't have to spend so much time picking out the right dress, colors, who is going to be in my wedding, venues, etc. because I already have a general idea on those things already. Sure I'll share my vision with my fellow whom I've yet to meet, but my main focus is to have a great marriage, that is what is more important than a wedding anyways. So I have a secret stash just to be prepared and not to waste time. But here are my choices for a wedding dress that I have narrowed it down to, when the right time comes:
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I've looked in one while getting my hair done But I've never purchased one, never had the need to
Reminds me of an old friend I knew from childhood. Pretty much as soon as she started dating she'd buy bridal mags, plot to marry every dude she went out w/ & plan the colors for each wedding I think she finally got married a few years ago, now maybe she can sleep @ night

i have to admit something. when i was about 17 i was in the city for some reason or other. i found myself in a bridal store casually looking around and pretending i was engaged when the salesperson asked me. but beyond that little episode i've not longed for all that hoopla let alone the dress.
