It happened in March and didn't tell us because she didn't want to upset us. She did report it to the police and the guy is now in jail.

I'm sad that she is hurting and that she was alone with no support.

Just remind your elderly loved ones to be on their guard. Sometimes they are targets of assholes like this because they're elderly and "easy" prey.

oh my god. very sorry to hear this. that's one human predator whose time on earth should be ... limited. sorry to feel vengenace but there it is. we would all be better off not having to share sidewalk and road space with this guy

Yes Shorty. She IS a strong woman. She is 83 years old and she's still rockin' at her age. Still lives alone and drives and is completely healthy. She is pretty in control of her emotions, but today when she told me she was very upset. I think that's the first time I've ever heard/seen her cry.

She has been a nervous wreck though. Her nerves are shot. I noticed something different with her, but I thought she was depressed about my divorce. This guy did this to other women too. He picked her as his target. She got out of her car and went into a grocery store. Then he went and slashed her tire. Then he approached her in the store to tell her that she had a flat and that he'd fix it. She being the trusting and somewhat naive soul that she is went with him.

This also happened 2 my aunt when she was in her 70's.
