I use organic coconut oil as a skin moisturizer and oil my scalp n hair with it as well. I was told by older people than me, never put anything on your skin that you won't put in your mouth.

I follow this as closely as I can with the exception of anti-perspirant.

I love using oil as a moisturizer.

i dunno...i'm not going through a very high-health period right now, which isn't to say that i'm purposely abusing myself but i'm just not making the efforts that i have over the past few years. i'm taking a vacation from the demanding job of taking care of myself. lol

that said, there are some things that are just constants with me. one thing is the vegetarianism. i think after 20 years, i've been able to enjoy some benefits from it.

and another thing i do is probably more of a "mental health" secret: i make my bed every morning, no matter what. it's the one thing that i do for myself to make myself feel good when i come home from work at the end of the day. nobody likes coming home to a messy unmade bed. maybe some people don't care, but it always bummed me out. so i did something about it, and it's just part of my daily routine and it makes me feel good.

so there's that. lol

ps i LOVE batgirl. love

im not sure what 'natural green tea' means but i drink at least a pitcher if not 2 of green tea brewed from organic green tea.
i dont use honey or anything, once in a while i might add some OJ in with the green tea if i get sick of its taste.
so..the honey part wont make me gain weight? i like to use raw honey in my tea but i dont cause i thought i was just adding calories.

when i start feeling sick of its bitterness i go for a cup or two of white tea. then get back to green. or sometimes i just add a drop of rose water to it, it works great nod

* I spike my water with apple cider vinegar daily. It's antibacterial and I haven't had a cold in 2 years, whereas before I would ALWAYS get a sore throat as seasons changed ...at least once or twice year.

* I drink a homemade shake of raw egg yolk, wheat germ, flax oil, bee propolis, milk, and banana each morning for energy(and to keep my hair long and strong).

* I only use WHOLE FOOD vitamins. Anything else is crap.

* I oil pull with sesame oil (this helps pull toxins out of your body and promotes good oral health).

* As I stated above, I take bee propolis extract (no alcohol, no wax). You thought honey was amazing? Well, it is and manuka honey can even kill staph, but bee propolis is the top immune system booster and it's great for teeth, gums, and sore throats. Bees mummify insects in this stuff and keep them for years!

Oh -- and i don't use shampoo -- gave that up years ago. Too drying. I wash my hair with either baking soda or shikakai powder/soap. Neem soap is good too.

I agree with someone mentioning coconut oil, I don't buy lotion period. I use coconut oil on my hair, I cook with it, I eat it, I put slather it all over after a shower.

And it's a good...um... personal lubricant. That is all. wink

wait, what? lol

i was eating 12 white castles at one sitting and downing mcdonalds and burger king on a regular basis for the first 18 years of my life. i used to gobble rally Qs like pacman would gobble little yellow dots. lol

then my mom and some friends and i started trying to work in some funkier, healthier foods into our diet - still including the regular fast food crap, mind you - and eventually, by the time i started college, i figured i could chuck the meat for good. i guess the trick for me was deciding, and finding out a way, to make such a change manageable and palatable. it's not for everyone, but i'll say that for myself, it really wasn't a huge sacrifice. these days, when people tell me you have to give up tasty food when you give up meat, i think they've lost their minds.

Da fuk eek disbelief

You win, Anx, you DEF win falloff

The thing is, its not the fact that I love meat so much, its the fact that I'm VERY anti-routine, THATS really my curse. I like a lil' variety in my plate which ain't exactly the case when it comes to vegetarian food since it doesn't leave you with so many options, ya know? lol
