The two actors I know are pretty damn good; Quintos is already getting great insider praise. I am sure the others are pretty damn good as well or Abrams would not have cast them.

I hope Trekkies can get over their own prejudice against the actors and just sit back and enjoy the ride. I certainly will.

Not sure if I'm liking the sets. Please tell me this isn't a shot of some ship's bridge. It's just not right. As for the actors, the only one I am familiar with is Urban (no, I don't watch much TV or go to many movies). This is probably a good thing for me so I won't have any preconceptions other than the people they are supposed to be portraying. I'm hoping the Enterprose doesn't play a large role in this film unless it's done correctly. Kirk was to have served on the Farragut and the Republic before he served on the Enterprise.

I'm getting a feeling that this movie will probably do fairly well when released, but that it won't sit right with the original fan base (which includes me). Hopefully I'll like it.
