 awww...thanks guys. It's for an editor position for a new publication in a suburb of Detroit. It's so new that I haven't heard anything about it (which could be a bad sign) but, I'm going to use this time to find out as much as I can.
I guess I'm less nervous because of that. It may be that I have more to offer them than they have to offer me. | |

Apples I had one today too! I was sooo nervous, I didn't sleep at all last night and I was freaking out. It went really really well though, I was surprised! Just relax and take deep breaths and you'll be fine.
If I do get this position I won't be here much anymore...hopefully I will get it though. I won't be devastated if I don't, I love my job now but this one pays much more. Good luck! | |

Yup it's within the University. Even in the same building. It's mostly the same things I'm doing now except more account management and I'll do the hiring for student workers. And I'll have my own office!!
Definitely less time here if I get it. I'll need to feel out my new boss and see what's up. I'm sure I'll pop by during lunch time but no more all day bs...you guys will miss me!!! | |

I work for a university too. The people that do the account mgt and student hiring are pretty busy, but it's not overwhelming most of the time. You'll love having your own office. It's so nice to be able to close the door when you don't want to deal with people.

Awww you guys are just so sweet!
(most of the time - heh!) It went really well -- the Managing Editor was a total babe...tall, dark and handsome. BUT... the paper is a small community one that needs A TON of help. They have two writers that don't even have degrees in journalism/communications. It's what we call a 'shopper' in the journalism biz -- more concentration on raking in ad revenue rather than editorial content. But, the Managing Editor wants someone who can come in and turn things around. I CAN do that -- I think he wants to hire me. But, it's pretty obivous that they can't afford me -- which is a GREAT feeling (all things considered.)
They don't even pay a part of the health insurance! So, we'll see what kind of deal they can come up with. | |

My sister had her interview to join the police force 2day...
Apparantely the interview went well but she failed the 1 of the physical tests and didnt make it in this time...
