i hate the way fashion mags are photo shopped to death. it sends a rotten message to vulnerable young people.

having said that being able to remove red-eye from family photos is good.

It's not just fashion mags, though. It's EVERYthing now.

I had to make a generator look shinier and orange rather than yellow last month!

Arnotts

Even though celebs look better in photoshop pictures than in candid pictures, they always look WAY better in real life then they do in candid or photoshop pictures

Imago

It's fine.
It helps to cover up all that is ugly and wrong with each and everyone of us. We can't hide behind just our hair, clothes, and personalities. Sometimes, we need some airbrushing. Look, beauty may be on the inside, but some of yall need to turn your ugly asses inside-out then.

Photoshop is fine.

It's just a shame that there's no such thing as pocket photoshop...or morning-after photoshop...for those "real-life" encounters with the beauty-impaired...

as seen in Marie Claire

website Photoshop Disasters compared their faces with their reflections in the table omg

WHY?! confuse

i'm just wondering weather the image reflected on the table is a bit distorted.

and are these the actual editors of that magazine?

well, i wouldn't like it if the photoshopped images make one look completely like a different person.

Anxiety

it's the same thing as airbrushing, only it's easier to manipulate. the process is nothing new, it's just available to more people now.

it's the same thing as autotune and pro tools in music. the voices we hear singing on the radio these days have nothing to do with what the singers really sound like.

everything is augmented.

i think it's why i find outsider art and amateur/DIY film and music so refreshing, even when it's really bad. sometimes i crave rough edges and ingenuity.

I wish someone could Photoshop me before I leave the house in the morning. confused
We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

I spend about $100 a month (at least) on various face washes and cremes, so I guess that can qualify as a form of photoshop, no?
