I filled up for 64$ today. Not a bargain, but it's better than the previous months.

Gas is $2.71 per gallon here. At its highest, it was $4.17 for regular.

Gas Prices Fall Below $2 a Gallon

We found gas for $1.99 a gallon at a Mobil Station in Springdale. (WKRC-TV)

Drivers in parts of the Tri-State are filling up on prices we haven't seen for years. Gas is selling for less than two dollars a gallon in some areas, including a Mobil station in Springdale.

Nationwide, gasoline prices have tumbled nearly 53 cents a gallon in the last two weeks.

The daily survey from AAA and the Oil Price Information Service shows the current statewide average in Ohio for regular is about $2.43, 25 cents less than last Monday.

Just one month ago, Ohioans were paying $3.69 a gallon, on average. Last year at this time, the average was about $2.87.

Gasoline prices have been sliding as oil prices have dropped to the lowest levels in almost a year and a-half. Markets worry about the potential for a severe global economic slowdown that would curb demand for fuel.
