MY SON just rung ..crying and devastated...couldn't get a word out and it turns out he saw our cat get run over.....fat lot of help I was ...I cried on the phone with him...just hearing his heart break ..broke mine...

Aw that is sad. I remember what happened to me when I thought I was losing my cat when he was SO sick he might die.
I was in shambles. Just hug your son and be honest with him. Not too honest, but honest as you can be. |

I would have given anything growing up to see that kind of emotion on my mother. She grew up in a world where parents had to be 'strong' and never reveal emotions of weakness to their kids. There was a constant undercurrent of a complete lack of 'connection' to our emotions as a family. You're giving your son a tremendous gift just by being 'yourself' no matter how unhelpful you may think you're being--sometimes, just showing that you unerstand the situation on the same level as them is all that you need to do. | |

This happened to us and we all were heart broken and cried for days...
We're over it now because it was over 10 years ago and now I have 4 at home. Um... let me warm up my vocals

Thank u..all of u ... ...I felt awful about the cat ...but hearing Tyryn ...trying to get the words out and he kept saying over and over ..there is so much blood ....the pain in his voice killed me..
And then Taylor had to be told (it was her cat) ...Tyryn gave her a cuddle when she was first told and the two of them cried..... Then he said to her "I'm glad u didn't see Taylor" ...which started me off again | |
