If you could reinvent yourself

and remove the expectations of people who know you, start with a clean slate,
Would you make yourself more… ?

I'd be more outgoing, alot more outgoing

I've dug myself into this stupid "shy and sweet" bag and it feels sorta like I'm trapped there.

I would also want to be more athletic
If you will, so will I

Ha!!! are you ME?

I would be more assertive
much LOUDER - I would somehow get myself a way louder voice, people at parties can't hear me mad
dress to suit my figure geek instead of loose things to hide it
be comfortable with attention and being in the centre of it
I would smile more and scowl less boxed

I guess I would need to get rid of my own expactations too. But I'd love to reinvent myself and be different from who I am.
With a very special thank you to Tina: Is hammer already absolute, how much some people verändern...ICH hope is never so I will be! And if, then I hope that I would then have wen in my environment who joins me in the A....

I've never understood what prevents people from "reinventing" themselves and realizing who they want to be. Why the self-imposed limitations? confuse

I'd be more assertive and care less about what a few people (my family confused) think of me and the things that I do.

I'm very self-conscious, and I would feel very strange to one day act totally differently in front of people who have known me to be one way for 25 years. I feel I can easily do it with new friends. For example my workmates couldn't believe my schoolmates would call me shy and quiet - in my work environment, I was able to be loud and forthcoming, and they wouldn't comment on it.

To some that I know quite well, constant reinvention gives the impression of one being a total flake....unable to figure themselves out...and its rare that folks get to reinvent themselves the way they truly want to be, out of fear of those limitations....

I really don't think I have a problem with the expectations of people who know me. That's certainly not something that holds me back from anything. I think I know a lot of great people, maybe.

There are certainly things I'd change about myself. Not so shy, not so fat, maybe a bit more ambition.

But I don't need a reinvention.

I wouldn't say that it would make sense to suddenly behave differently, that sounds wacky and fake. Real, positive change takes time, work, and analysis. However, if there's something that you want to change, improve, or evolve into because YOU think this is truer to your real self or nature why would you care how that is perceived by others??? shrug

I would be better at showing my emotions. When someone else is in a foul mood, it's just them having a bad day. When I am in a bad mood, it's me being a bitch and it's because I tend to only let people see the "positive" side of me. So when the negative side comes out it is judged 10 times more than other people, or at least that's the way it feels.
