finding jobs on monster.com

So do I have any witnesses who have found a job on monster.com?

I posted my resume yesterday on monster in hopes of finding another job...and soon.
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Thanks great! This gives me hope. Especially with the job market being so bad right now.

As a consultant, most companies contact me after finding my resume on Monster and I've gotten lots of assignments as a result. Keep in mind that most companies don't advertise open jobs anymore, instead they just search Monster's database for qualified applicants. So be sure to update and resave your resume at least once a month because it will help your resume display at the top of the results list when employers search for candidates. Good luck! cool

Thanks for the advice & tips, I really appreciate it! I have been having such a hard time with even getting an interview b/c all the jobs I applied for, either they would cancel the position or say that I'm qualified but my app wasn't "among the pool of highly qualified apps", which would piss me off. So someone asked me did I post my resume to Monster and I felt so slow b/c I had completely forgot about doing that. And u know, I got an email from a recruiter this morning regarding a position she had available that I may be interested in. So I'm going to email my resume to her as soon as I get home!

You're welcome. biggrin

I've had probably 10-15 jobs/assignments in the last 8 years and almost all of them they found me on Monster. I'd suggest searching Monster for jobs you are qualified for or want and update your resume to reflect the keywords/job functions in the descriptions. This will make sure that your resume comes up more often for employers. You should also put your resume on Careerbuilder and Hotjobs. Another great resource for jobs are any professional organizations that people in your profession belong to. Often these organizations have job banks you can access even if you're not a member. thumbs up!
