I have been through six years of sexual abuse. One rape. A teen pregnancy. 14 years of being the black sheep of the family. 24 years of depression. Heartache after heartbreak and I'm still standing.

When I am at my darkest point, I really don't know where I draw the strength to keep going but I do. I just had my second cancer scare and I didn't tell anyone I was scared beyond belief. Today, I got word that the results are negative and it is my sign to count my blessings in spite of whatever may come.

I have a child who is violent. Who has broken my toe and my thumb. Who keeps me up some nights, who tried to set the house on fire four weeks ago and still I kept going. Day after day, week after week of trying to convince people to help me with him and nothing but the battle goes on. Instead of giving up, I'll take whoever the hell I have to in order to get what my child needs.

Last week I was ready to drop out of school from dealing with life then my computer went on the blink. My sister, my angel took me and bought a brand new one with the promise that I'll pass it on to her when she is ready for grad school. So tonight I finsihed a five hour mid-term exam for chemistry and am ready to go on to complete my degree.

I'm ranting. To some, it may seem like bragging but I just want to remind everyone to count their blessings and that nothing is impossible. I feel so good right now and I just wanted to share it.
