TRON	I thought I read once that you can't digest it and it goes directly to your appendix. Best not to swallow.

As a kid I always thought it would sit in my stomach for something like seven years. I still swallowed chewing gum now and then and it bothered me to think my stomach might have been filling up.

HUH, I now live in Singapore and chewing gum is BANNED here!

ian	I think the reason parents scare their kids about swallowing chewing gum is coz they're afraid you'll get a fright or something and it will get trapped in your windpipe and you won't be able to break and you'll die. Dunno if this can actually happen.

I can remember when I was a young girl thinking that if I swallowed gum it would stick to my bones, omfg

I was terrified that would happen when I did actually swallow some, so I just sat about worrying alot. Oh the things little kids go through! I never told my Mum because I was scared I would get told off.

Mostly, gum would drop out my mouth and I would lose it. It almost always fell into my long hair and it had to get cut out. sad
