First off, I must warn you I'm a tad cranky most of the time. It's not my fault if the world is so infuriating.

Take the other day. I was selling a screenplay to David Geffen when all of a sudden, Matt Damon's name came up. Dave said he was interested in the property. The only problem is that he's a screenwriter himself, and Geffie casually mentionned that if he did star in the movie, he would definitely rework the script.

I took one look at Geff, zipped up and walked out without saying a word. I'm sorry, but if someone rewrites me, it cannot be a hotshot Hollywood actor. I don't care if he won a screenwriting Oscar -- obviously, Hollywood is extremely indulgent with any actor who can do more than memorize a few lines and look like he means them.

Call me cranky, call me vain. I remain unapologetically me.
