I've lost, broken, or shared (and not gotten back) every umbrella I've ever had If you will, so will I

It rains so rarely here in Southern California, I never really worry about carrying an umbrella. Besides if rain is even close to being in the forecast, the news starts reporting it as "Storm Watch" even if it just a few scattered showers.

I usually get the very cheap but chic H&M umbrellas. They don't last very long, of course.

I have a stunning umbrella from the MOMA. Iridescent purple (looks more blue or pink depending on the light), with an aluminum shaft and handle. We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

MRPRIEST said: I have never owned a umbrella and I dont know anyone who owns one. However if your ever in a town or city and it starts raining 100s of people will produce them. Whats even stranger is how did they know it was going to rain I mean even if it has been sunny all day then suddenly takes a change for the worst and starts raining there they are with their umbrellas. The only way I can figure it out is that certain people are constantly carrying umbrellas, or (you do see alot of business men with them) are buying one as soon as it starts raining.
ITs just really strange because I never have an umbrella when it starts raining and just have to run! Urmmm, think so. But 'm 2 lethargic rite now 2 go check my closet. [Edited 10/18/08 21:51pm] wish U were here baby, on me--
