[Edited 10/15/08 20:55pm] well...during this whole race i've had a starange feeling in my gut the more i saw/see hope in obama. history has shown that we (humans) don't respond to kindly to people with positive outlooks (or even good plans, if i can share my opinion). he's calling us (in america) to rethink our system and our responsability, and more often then not, people find it easier to wallow in cynisism than to have faith in their ability to transcend...and even though it is no surprise, it saddens me to hear Mccain toss out random "keywords" that activate conservative fear of change, and often when i hear him speak it just sounds like he's screaming "tradition tradition tradion! be very very afraid!". (IMO) It's like barack is saying "lets get off our couches and work" and john is saying "see! he wants to make you get up and do stuff!" ...the sad part is...there are ALOT of people who truly DONT want to make things better at all (usually the ones with little to worry about) and the vote can swing either way depending on where america truly is as a country [which none of us can say]. not to mention, the powers that be have stolen elections before...recent history has shown the popular vote mean nothing in the end. I'm saddened (but not surprised) that barack HAS to become a monster, becuase he represents a DRASTIC change in custom because of his color alone, besides the policy change he's calling for. and it seems he always has to re-explain a POV that sounds like common sense (again to me)....what is refreshing tho, is: baracks presentation of his plan exposes how little presedential nominees ever explain themselves (beyond dropping keywords).... so ultimatly (sadly) i can't even say who i think will win, and even tho i think barack SHOULD have a greater chance in winner (for multiple reasons) i would be less surprised if i see Mccain being proclaimed as victor when all is done. (Office aside, however, I think barack has done a damn good job of reinstilling faith in the democratic promise/possibility so soon after the blatent abandonment of the Bush administration. and that alone is a remarkable thing for a man who hasn't even made it in office yet) ok i'll shut up now

But i hope for you americans that Obama will win, that would be a nice change i think. [Edited 10/16/08 13:17pm] Freedom is to trust that you're doing what you must according to your lust
