Have you contacted a rape crisis centre? they may have someone who can give her some counselling and other supports.

My God...the nerve of some people in this world. I am so so sorry this happened to your grandmother. This is exactly why my dad and I moved mine down to TN with family in the house. She was living alone here in IL and there are tons of bad people lurking around the area who knew she lived alone. I already know you're giving her lots of love and support so I won't advise on that. It's good she's getting support somewhere, though....and that she even came out with what happened. So many people are afraid to and it has far worse of an effect on them afterwards.

first my gut reaction is right with you, i want to cut his nuts off, personally, my mother is that age and I swear I'd kill a mf, fo sho.

professionally speaking though:
you really should look into counseling for her, a support group of other elderly women who have been through this sort of trauma. Grandma is strong, but I bet she is holding it together for you and the rest of the family and is not coping fully with her ordeal. Thank goodness for her pastor, but some of this may be out of his range.

you also have to keep talking about this, I know you are hurt, angry and feel helpless. this was no one's fault, he is a monster.

I feel sorry that this has happened and I hope your grandma is fine.

Blessings to your grandma!!! i'm so sorry something that bad had to happen to her! it really makes me sad to see that even our elders are not safe when it comes to sexual assault!!! this is a growing problem! i hope that through her church she is able to get the full support and understanding that she deserves! and i'm glad she has family support too.
